We are recruiting for our creative training programme, offering individualised work placements with a flexible time commitment

By joining our Youth Board you will work on our latest project Within These Four Walls that has been devised to provide flexible work experience that can run alongside your other work or study commitments. After an initial half day's training,  then, as much or as little as you can offer between June and November 2017.

Through the project you will help devise and create three original performances that will help bring the rich heritage of Winterbourne House and Garden alive, performed by young actors aged 11 to 18 who you will help recruit and rehearse. Working with our Creative Director Lucy Bailey-Wright you will gain invaluable experience, develop your skills but most of all you will have an opportunity to be part of a drama and heritage project that has the potential to change the lives of young people forever.

Run in partnership with Winterbourne House and Garden with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Lottery Fund  you will receive training and gain skills in areas that most interest you, including: 

  • Drama workshop leading
  • Marketing and running campaigns
  • Researching Heritage, historical houses and figures
  • Youth engagement
  • Exhibition curation
  • Site-specific theatre
  • Project management and producing events

As a member of the Youth Board you will receive training and support for free. No payment is made for involvement but all expenses are paid.
